For the past couple of months, I have pretty much held my composure when i've come in contact with a major leaguer. Well that went out the window when about 3 days ago I literally ran into Jeff Bagwell. Now for those of you not into sports, Jeff Bagwell is a recently retired player, not by choice but because his shoulder wouldn't hold up for him. Bagwell along with Craig Biggio are the faces of Houston Astros baseball. Bagwell is the all time homerun hitter for the Astros and considered to be the 4th best 1st basemen ever. All in all, he's a great player and a great guy. So anyway, I'm walking down a tunnel to go to the Astros daycare, to take t-shirt sizes of all the players kids, and who do I run into as i'm opening a door? Jeff Bagwell. He says to me, "oh i'm sorry sweetheart," smiles and keeps walking. Me? I look at him like he's an alien and my jaw drops to the floor. I dont know why I didn't have that reaction to Craig Biggio. Bags had me completely starstruck. He's the only Astro to have me react that way. Now i've gotten excited over visting players, but i've never actually ran into them. I just had a good day that day.
I effin love my job. I got to witness history lastnight because of it. Last night, Craig Biggio finally reached a huge baseball milestone. He got his 3000th hit of his career in front of a sellout standing room only crowd and I was there. It was one of the coolest things I've ever been apart of. Now for those of you that dont know much about baseball, there are only 27 players in HISTORY that have reached this milestone. Baseball has been around for a LONG time. I wasn't even planning on staying for the game, but something told me that he was gonna get his hit. I'll have to upload pictures soon!
GO BIGGIO!!!
What is the most interesting class you have ever taken?

I'd say US History in my Sophomore year of college was my most fascinating and boring class. Fascinating in the sense that my teacher was 80 and seen and done everything in life. He'd taught one of the guys that was involved in Watergate. He bombed the military base that I lived on in Japan in WW2 and he was a former Congressman. He'd done everything and had tons of stories. Only downfall? He was 80. Holy long class batman!
When i'm not at work, i'm in bed. Why? Because I work hard. Theres not a moment during the day at work, that I just have a moment to sit, well lunch, but that doesn't count. But as I'm laying here in bed, typing this up on my laptop, i've realized just how lazy work has made me. I look forward to coming home, just so that I can get in bed. I love that I have a laptop because that means I can be on the computer, while i'm in bed! Isn't that sad?
I was supposed to go to JCPenny's today and take back a necklace my mom bought me (she told me to do so.) What have I done all day? Absolutely nothing..sing it again now! War..huggghh...good god, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing. Okay, got a little side tracked there. I'm gonna be singing that all day. Anyway, so i'm laying in bed and I keep telling myself that in an hour i'm going to get up and go to the store.. that was 4 hrs ago. What am I going to do with myself?
Anyway, on a good note, I found out that I have about 3 Sephoras within 30 mins of me. One on the way to and from work, one about 20 mins away and one 30 mins in another direction. Not bad. I was told prior to moving here, that Houston had some good shopping. I just haven't experienced it yet. I was supposed to do that this weekend but i didn't. I slept instead.
Am I going to sleep my life away? that really scares me.
I told myself that I was going to update as much as possible but i just can't seem to find the time or the energy. Living and working in Houston has been extremely tiring. To be honest though, I expected to be working a lot and being overly tired. Its just one thing to expect being tired and another to actually be this tired. I've offically crossed over in the real adult world. I dont have school anymore, I dont have a part-time job anymore and i'm not living at home anymore. Speaking of not living at home... I love my god parents, I really do. I just really wish that I was living on my own. This experience would be so different if I was really getting to deal with actually having my own place and really being an adult.
Its just a bit annoying that my mom thinks she can keep tabs on me by asking my godmother where I am. My mother fails to realize that i'll be 22 yrs old in 4 months. I think that if I were truly on my own, she'd get it through her head that i'm not her baby anymore. Thank god, that my godmother realizes this because she doesn't tell my mom where i'm going or where I am. And to be truthfully honest, I NEVER AM ANYWHERE BUT HOME. This past Thursday was the first time since being out here in Texas, that i've gone out. I was with co-workers and our street team was doing an event at a local bar, so I went to show support. Not one drop of liquid went down my throat. My aunt has got my mom thinking i'm an alcoholic, but thats another story.
Anyway, I think I have time to update now. I'm starting to get the hang of my new schedule. Maybe i'll pull a Barbz or Julia and post a video. Who knows..
Well, I flew to Houston, this past tuesday for an interview with the Houston Astros. The next day they called me and told me that I had gotten the internship. That means that I'm moving to Houston this summer. I'll be here from May 14th-August 24th! Possibly a little longer. Anyway, here's where I'll be working.
This is the outside of MInute Maid Park!
And here's the inside with the roof closed. I'm so excited!!!
I hope I like Houston, cause it'd suck to be here for a whole summer and not like it.

LOOK ITS THE CHICAGO AIRPORT!!!!
Remember being on the escalator thing when we were walking a mile to other side of the airport to catch a plane to Julia's?!! Good time. I think the picture actually came out good!
Oh I found more pictures! This is you in the Cali Airport on our way back. You were so excited because you were able to buy that gum. lol Good times.
Its been forever and a day since I've last posted on here and so much has gone on. I started working for a local hockey team called the Norfolk Admirals and I spend most of my time at the arena and with my bosses and fellow interns. I swear, I have the best internship ever. My bosses are cool as hell and the interns are like family now. We have way too much fun with each other. I never thought that I'd be going out and clubbing with my bosses after home games on Saturday! What a boost to the social life! lol So I have pictures and a lot of them! woohoo!! Here we go.
This us three female interns after a home game in our office! Anne, in the Black is our boss, but she's cool as hell. Then there is Chelsea, Meghan and then me!! Love those girls!
This is me, Ashley and Meghan at ScottyQuixx after a home game! Good times. Thats the bar where all the hockey players go after the games. Big spenders i tell you!
Aww. Heres some of the Admirals crew at the Hunt Club. Which is a Haunted Hay Ride in Virginia Beach. Pictures here from left to right is Meghan, me, Charlie, Ashley, Anne and then Kyle. That night was too much fun. I've lived in VA beach for 6 yrs but that was the first time that I had actually gon to the Hunt Club. I laughed so hard that night, that I left with a headache.
B2Night is held at the Baxters Sports Bar and Grill when the Admirals are playing away. This was from the only B2 night that I went too. I actually think a lot of us has stopped going. The place is too expensive. Um.. Front Row: Michelle (one of the intern, kyles, girlfriend), Me, and Jordan. 2nd Row: Chelsea, Meghan, Anne, Ashley, Last Row: Kyel, Charlie. Good times.
So I dont spend all of my time with the Admirals. lol I do have another job at the YMCA. I've been working there a lot lately. Recently we had a Silent Auction and everyone had to get dressed up. It was fun but the band sucked ass. I mean honestly, who hires a band named, "Butter?" Riiight.
These are my girls, they are the reason that I'm able to make it at the job still. But then, my new boss ruined it and Kairsten left the front desk and Amanda left to persue a job with the City of Norfolk. Sigh...I miss them already! Pictured: Amanda, Me, Kairsten, Jen.
Okay i'm done with pictures. I'm sure i'll have more to post soon, cause i'm always doing something!
